Elizabeth's Poem: The All Mood Feeling
The All Mood Feeling
Have you ever felt that random feeling?
That feeling with everything combined.
That feeling when you get punished when you don’t do your homework.
When you're cheerful after eating cotton candy.
All mixed together like a sweet, spicy, and smelly aroma.
That feeling, that feeling that you’ve never felt before.
That all mood feeling that changes the way you soar.
The feeling when you are longing for a brother or sister.
Any one, just a sibling.
To replace what you’ve lost.
That feeling when you want someone to go through what you’re going through.
Because you don’t fit in.
You are teased.
Teased by things you don’t even get.
You don’t understand, and they make fun of you.
You are left out.
Then you have that urge to want to be in a different class.
But you can’t do anything about it.
But the turnaround of the feeling when you see someone that would talk to you nicely.
I makes you want to spin around happily.
So you try to fit in and start a conversation.
But you don’t know how.
It makes you want to cry, but you hold back so others can’t tell you’re hurt.
So I hang on like I was falling off a cliff.
But one day, you let it out, and people make fun of you.
There are only few that would comfort you.
They tell you to break a leg and stay strong,
But others just leave you there alone.
In a tiny corner.
A special corner.
Your corner.
Alone.
The wind howled in the night as I weep and say to myself.
They only judge by looks.
Never my personality.
I’m not who they really think I am.
They just don’t get what I’m going through.
Mild CP.
And many more I don’t want to name.
They just don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes.
Everyone around me, all filled with HATE.
It makes me want to just get over with it.
The doors of death are welcoming me.
I try my best to hold back, and I make my decision.
I hold back.
But still,
Lost in the past.
I bang on the glass longing for what I’ve lost to come back.
Every day and every night,
But it just can’t be retrieved.
In the beginning everyone was nice.
But it changed throughout the school year.
I’ve never done anything to most of them, but that’s what I get back.
And I don’t know why.
I guess I’ll never find out because I’m an introvert.
Too shy to ask.
That feeling won’t go away, and it probably will stay forever until I get the courage.
But, it might not happen here,
Because I may not be coming next year.
That doesn’t mean a yes or no, but,
Either way, if I leave or stay,
I hope that at least some will remember me as a friend.
As I remember those who were nice to me.
I hope this will all end one day.
But even when it ends, all those tears will stay,
permanent in my mind.
I’ll never forget.
But when it ends, it will slowly get better.
It’ll be a long process.
That’s the all mood feeling.
your poem was very intense,i got a feeling that you where very angry and you might have wanted to commite suiccide
ReplyDeleteI loved your poem was amazing! You were telling your life from one feeling which was really cool and interesting. You are such a talented writer because you make us feel what you feel and you are having a conversation with yourself which is awesome. AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, your poem was great! I loved how your poem related to this school year when in the beginning you said that the school year was full of students being friendly to each other and then in the end, all the students turning into rivals and competitors. I also liked how you expressed your feelings in a concise way while describing what you had to deal with during the school year. Overall, this is an amazing job of yours.

DeleteAs I would say that was a pretty raw poem. I really could tell that you put a load of time into making this, and the way you presented it was fantastic. I thought that this poem of yours was great... and I would encourage you to keep writing.
ReplyDeleteYour poem was deep. I didn't know that you were going through so much. You shared a big part of yourself with the class and expressed your true feelings and your deepest emotions. I think many people in the class can relate to the way you feel because as a whole we don't really have a tight bond. But great job!
ReplyDeleteGreat poem! Nice way to describe "the all mood feeling', nice way to express yourself through the poem. Excellent job!
ReplyDeletethis was really good and i liked your poem becuase it was talking about things poeple have experiance with and it was very good becuase you siad what you where hinking ad feeling
ReplyDeleteThis poem was awesome! You should be much more confident when presenting because your poem was amazing. It was interesting to hear all of these feelings that you seemed to be hiding from the class. You should be more confident and happy with what you do and what you say because with a good tone, your poem would be excellent, not that is isn't excellent already. Good job!!!!!
ReplyDeletelooking at yor viedo i wonder what hppended in the past to you
ReplyDeleteThis poem is very good. It shows the feelings that you said you struggle to show and how you feel about what people in this class say to you. You showed how you need people to change in order to be happy.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth I always knew you would do OK!! You did a great job, you were so brave presenting it, especially because your an introvert, I will always be your friend and it is so nice of you to present your poem! This was very brave of you, great job!! Thank you!
ReplyDeletewow that was really good im sorry i didnt know you felt this way you always seemed happy whenever i saw you im sorry i didnt know ill be better at that from now on
ReplyDeleteAfter watching your video, I could see that these issues that you discussed in your poem are really troubling to you, and like I said before, you should be much more confident in yourself, because you can write really, really well, great job!
ReplyDeleteThis poem tells alot about you because you are generally quiet and you clearly put alot of emotion and thought into this poem and it was really cool how you made your video
ReplyDeleteAfter the video I had a more clear image of your problems because of the visual aid with the poem.
ReplyDeleteDang okay, this is really deep and from what you said i feel that you might feel left out in our class, and im sorry for that, i was an introvert too but i found a group of friends that i fit in with and i mean i kinda got more talkative after that then i got really chill with the class and i mean it seems difficult when people dont fully understand your situation and i get that too, but not everyone understands everything so find people that do understand first then build from there.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, I really enjoyed listening to your poem. It showed me a different side of you and I never really knew that people teased you and that you felt alone. I am glad that you shared your story with us. Amazing Job!
ReplyDeleteELizabeth, I want to say that I am sorry because i didn't know what you were going through. You were able to turn your emotions into something beautiful. Good job
ReplyDeleteWow Elizabeth, that poem was so good and I feel like it really expressed your emotions in a way that not many of us had known. Personally, I didn't know you were going through that but your poem really shared that beautifully. I liked it a lot and you really showed emotion when you presented it to the class. Great work!
ReplyDeleteWow, this was amazing, it is a true gift to turn your emotions into words and on top of that make the audience feel what you feel. I am so glad you could open up to the class and share a side of you that a lot of us have not seen before. I had no idea what you were going through, but this put me in a whole new perspective, great job!
ReplyDeleteWhy did you not want to share this? This is great! The language you used really allowed me to see what you felt. The visual aid was great, too. Amazing poem!
ReplyDeleteAlso, am I the only one that noticed how many poems are about diseases/disorders? So far, we've had autism, ADHD, OCD and asthma, and now cerebral palsy. I like this. This theme is always interesting to me.
Yes, I noticed that too. I completely agree, this is a nice topic because it allows people to really dig deep and tell other people about their feelings in life.
DeleteWow. Elizabeth, that was an amazing poem. I don't know why you were so afraid to share it, it's awesome. I really like the dept of your poem. If someone you didn't know read this poem, it would really make them think. It almost reminded me of a short story of everything you have been feeling throughout the school year. It also conveyed a really sad feeling that will make most cry which is a good thing because that means it moved people. You did an amazing job at turning your feelings into words! Great job!
