I thought the imagery really helped me experience what you were talking about. The language really added to the emotion of the poem and the setting. The impactful ending made me think about how I would think of a cherry blossom flower. Great work!
Excellent work, Mikalah on this tanka! Right off the bat, I love your descriptiveness of the cherry blossom you are talking about in your tanka. It was so descriptive that I thought that I was going through a garden full of cherry blossom flowers! Additionally, I thought that the explanation of the cherry blossom and the significance really helped bring the poem together as it incorporates beautiful emotion as you say it is an important part of your life. Overall, great job!
Mikalah, I like the sentiment you included here of treasuring something and hoping that others will, too. As I read this, I find myself wondering about the significance of the cherry blossom and even looking it up on the Internet for more information. I learned that the cherry blossom has significance in Japanese culture, and people associate it with the ephemeral nature of life--we are here for a moment, and nothing is permanent. I think that really fits with your poem. Thanks for sparking my curiosity!
Your poem is really good! When I read it, I could really imagine a cherry blossom. You did a great job with the imagery, and i liked how the last two lines changed the topic up a little and not about the blossom. Awesome!
Your poem is beautiful! When I read it, I felt calm because all I could picture was a cherry tree and cherry trees convey a feeling of calmness for some people. In this poem your readers can probably tell that cherry trees make you calm and can give you hope. Great job! Your poem was amazing!
I think this poem really shows how everyone should just be kind to eachother and how you hope everyone who is brought into this world should have a beautiful life ahead of them. Nice job =)
