Sam, I love the expressiveness that you have in this poem! I never anticipated that you would write a tanka about yourself and baseball. I felt like I was in the picture of a baseball field due to the actions and motions that you put in the poem to add detail and feeling. Additionally, there is a ton of imagery in this poem, like how the ball is flying and how the bat if being thrown so hard. At the end of the day, this tanka hits the ball out of the park!
Your poem is very broad. There are more general details than specific ones but it allows the reader to fill in the gaps with how their own experience could have went.
This is a really good poem because it can be used to describe more than just baseball, depending on the reader. It also sounds like you used your own experiences to describe and form your poem, which I think is really good, because you have your own personal connection. Good job!
I like how you wrote the poem about baseball, a sport you love to play and knowing you, I can tell that it's a genuine poem about something you know about that you didn't just make up.

To me this poem has more then one meaning, yes you may have written it about the obvious reason of course, but it can be interpreted in multiple ways Nice job =)
This is an interesting poem, words have been taken out to fit the script but it has the same message. I can relate to this in sports like but baseball and hockey are very different. Nice way of describing everything! Nice job!
